Curaderm BEC5 FAQ
Treatment Duration & Progress
Duration varies depending on the lesion’s size. It may take a few weeks to over a month. Continue applying until the skin appears fully regenerated with new healthy tissue.
Yes, this can happen. Curaderm BEC5 is formulated to act beneath the surface, which may cause the area to temporarily look larger. It does not affect healthy skin and the area should improve over time.
Before Using Curaderm BEC5
Yes. We strongly recommend seeing a doctor and getting a biopsy to understand the nature of the skin lesion. If your lesion is highly pigmented, it could require immediate medical attention.
Yes, but it will have no effect unless the lesion contains basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC. Curaderm BEC5 specifically targets basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).
Avoid using Curaderm BEC5 if you are taking medications like cortisone, prednisone, or Roaccutane, as they can sensitize the skin. Consult your doctor if unsure.
Application & Usage
Apply a thin layer (about 2mm thick) directly onto the affected area and slightly around it. Cover with a medical pad or micropore tape. The cream will spread under the pad to ensure full coverage.
Yes. Keep it covered with breathable paper tape or a pad to protect the area and help the cream stay in place and retain moisture.
Start with one area to understand how your skin reacts. Once comfortable, you may apply it to multiple areas. Large or numerous applications may cause some discomfort.
Storage & Stability
Curaderm BEC5 has a 5-year shelf life when stored properly.
Store it in the refrigerator below 25°C (77°F). Exposure to high temperatures can cause separation of the ingredients. If the separation happens, the cream can be reconstituted back to its normal consistency without loosing any potency.
Shake the bottle. If you hear a liquid sloshing sound, it has separated and needs reconstitution.
Place the tube in hot water (60°C/140°F) for one minute, shake vigorously, then freeze for 10 minutes. Afterward, store it in the refrigerator.
Effectiveness & Safety
Curaderm BEC5 contains salicylic acid, which helps reduce the risk of infection. For additional precaution, you can clean the area with disinfectants such as Dettol or peroxide, rinse with water, and dry thoroughly before reapplying.
Curaderm BEC5 is not recommended for melanoma. It is primarily effective for BCC and SCC. Consult your doctor before using it for other types of skin cancer.
Curaderm BEC5 effectively removes lesions without significant scarring, unlike surgery. However, if you have melanoma or metastatic SCC, surgery is the preferred treatment.

Background & Research
Dr. Bill Cham discovered the active compounds from the Devil’s Apple plant and later found similar glycoalkaloids in eggplants. His research led to the development of Curaderm BEC5.
No. The active glycoalkaloids in Curaderm BEC5 are highly purified. Eating eggplant will not provide the same benefits due to natural sugars that inhibit activity.
Beware of counterfeit products claiming to be as effective. Many untested creams can damage healthy skin, leaving scars or causing harmful effects
