Curaderm BEC5 FAQ

Treatment Duration & Progress

How long will it take for Curaderm BEC5 to treat my lesion?

Treatment duration varies depending on the lesion’s size. It may take a few weeks to over a month. Continue treatment until the lesion has completely healed with new skin.

Is it normal for my lesion to look larger or deeper during treatment?

Yes, this is normal. Curaderm BEC5 targets cancerous cells beneath the surface, which may cause the lesion to appear larger initially. However, it does not harm healthy cells, and the lesion will eventually heal over.

Before Using Curaderm BEC5

Should I see a doctor before using Curaderm BEC5?

Yes. We strongly recommend seeing a doctor and getting a biopsy to determine the type of skin cancer. If your lesion is highly pigmented, it could be melanoma, which requires urgent surgical removal.

Can I use Curaderm BEC5 on a lesion that is not cancerous?

Yes, but it will have no effect unless the lesion contains cancerous cells. Curaderm BEC5 specifically targets basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).

Can I use Curaderm BEC5 while on other medications?

Avoid using Curaderm BEC5 if you are taking medications like cortisone, prednisone, or Roaccutane, as they can sensitize the skin. Consult your doctor if unsure.

Application & Usage

How do I apply Curaderm BEC5?

Apply a thin layer (about 2mm thick) directly onto the lesion and slightly around it. Cover it with a medical pad or micropore tape. The cream will spread under the pad to ensure full coverage.

Do I need to keep the lesion covered during treatment?

Yes. Keep it covered with medical breathable paper tape or a pad to protect the area and help the cream stay in place and prevent it from drying out.

How do I treat multiple lesions?

Start with one lesion to understand how your skin reacts. Once comfortable, you can treat multiple lesions. Large or numerous lesions may cause discomfort.

Storage & Stability

What is the shelf life of Curaderm BEC5?

Curaderm BEC5 has a 5-year shelf life when stored properly.

How should I store Curaderm BEC5?

Store it in the refrigerator below 25°C (77°F). Exposure to high temperatures can cause separation of the ingredients. If the separation happens, the cream can be reconstituted back to its normal consistency without loosing any potency.

How do I know if my Curaderm BEC5 has separated?

Shake the bottle. If you hear a liquid sloshing sound, it has separated and needs reconstitution.

How do I reconstitute Curaderm BEC5 if it has separated?

Place the tube in hot water (60°C/140°F) for one minute, shake vigorously, then freeze for 10 minutes. Afterward, store it in the refrigerator.

Effectiveness & Safety

Is there a risk of infection during treatment?

Curaderm BEC5 contains salicylic acid, which helps prevent infection. If you are concerned, clean the lesion with disinfectants like Dettol or peroxide, rinse with water, and dry completely before reapplying Curaderm BEC5.

Are there any skin cancers Curaderm BEC5 cannot treat?

Curaderm BEC5 is not recommended for melanoma. It is primarily effective for BCC and SCC. Consult your doctor before using it for other types of skin cancer.

Why choose Curaderm BEC5 over surgery?

Curaderm BEC5 effectively removes lesions without significant scarring, unlike surgery. However, if you have melanoma or metastatic SCC, surgery is the preferred treatment.

If I have had a BCC or SCC in an area and another lesion appears, is it the same type of cancer?

It is likely, but if the lesion is highly pigmented, it could be melanoma. Consult your doctor for a biopsy.

Background & Research

How was Curaderm BEC5 discovered?

Dr. Bill Cham discovered the active compounds from the Devil’s Apple plant and later found similar glycoalkaloids in eggplants. His research led to the development of Curaderm BEC5.

Can I just eat eggplant instead of using Curaderm BEC5?

No. The active glycoalkaloids in Curaderm BEC5 are highly purified. Eating eggplant will not provide the same cancer-fighting benefits due to inhibitory sugars naturally present in the fruit.

Are other creams available that work like Curaderm BEC5?

Beware of counterfeit products claiming to be as effective. Many untested creams can damage healthy skin, leaving scars or causing harmful effects
